Kultura

Okres zafascynowania wszystkim i wszystkimi powoli mija. Zaczynam dostrzegac plusy i minusy tutejszej kultury.

Przyklad: Na Telecom Business Strategy jestem w grupie z 3 innymi osobami (33, 34 i 39 lat!!! ). Mielismy spotkanie projektowe odnosnie prezentacji.

Niekiedy doprowadza to do szalu.

Pomarudzilem sobie. Teraz pozytywy.

-----------------

The time of Korean culture flawlessness is over. I am starting to notice not only pros but also cons of this regions cultural differences. I think the thing that is most striking is the hierarchy ? formal and informal.

Example: At telecom business strategy I’ve been assigned to a group which consists of teammates whose age is situated within the range of 33-39. Last week we met in order to establish our presentation topic. The group asked my opinion and spent the next hour explaining to me that my ideas were ok, but we should do what the oldest suggested…which in my opinion is gonna be nerve wrecking…. Argh! But on the other hand ? I’m the one who is 22 and is taking the same classes as they are :)

Another thing is abstract thinking skills. I still don’t know how they are able to invent all those machines… here if somebody says ? do a presentation in 3 points that’s what they do. Not more, not less ? 3 is the number then.

Ok, enough of bragging. There are a lot of positive aspects as well.

The most important is safety. Second is the politeness. Everybody is willing to help … and all I bet would … if they understood English. The city is alive. If you wanna go eat at 5 am, there surely is a place to eat out. There’s something going on ? non-stop. I really like it. That makes me even more motivated to study the language … which turns out not to be the easiest thing to date. Cheerz
