3:15 pm, Monday - I can't believe I've been already studying for 1,5 hours. Weird, but fun at the same time. Last week I had a Lab assigned to me. At KAIST every student gets a place at campus - almost as an office desk. Everybody gets their space, locker, bookshelves etc. Such rooms fit 5-10 people. A lab is supervised by one person from the staff and its focus is similar to the lecturer's. Mine eg. is Corporate Informations Systems - CIS. We have everything we'd need to help us with our work - internet, our own server, printer, books, fridge, coffee machine, office supplies, telephone and a fire extinguisher :)
The CIS lab hosts 7 ppl right now (including me). 5 of those are currently PhD students, me and a girl are doing Undergrad studies. Everybody seems to be busy most of the time either doing research or just chatting on MSN. Either way there's a great atmosphere in the lab. I was welcomed very warmly - the girls made coffee for me, helped out with hooking the computer up to the network. I am spending most of my time in the lab - the dorm room is just for sleeping purposes.
You can sleep here as well. I can see that Yumi had already woken up :) Oh well - that's student life. I dozed off yesterday for a while on my desk as well. Today we ordered pizza for lunch. Awwww I love my Lab :)))))
