I was shortly joined by Jamlasica on our honeymoon bed expecting some hot action, but all I got was a brief "I feel sick too". </div><div><br></div><div>At 1 am in the morning both of us desperate with our current state, decided to start experimenting.</div><div><br></div><div>Experiment 1. Burping was a success for me which was followed up by a "I'm so jealous" by Jamlasica</div><div><br></div><div>Experiment 2. Force puking ended in a miserable failure for both of us even though this had our highest hopes of success</div><div><br></div><div>Experiment 3. Sleeping worked more or less but at least helped to get through the night without any extra attractions.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>The next day was sightseeing caves and riding bikes through one of the islands. Fun fun fun especially since the overnight drama was more or less completely gone by that time.</div><div><br></div>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-38756581601517675402014-03-21T03:25:00.001+01:002014-03-21T03:25:41.143+01:00Ha Long do we need to stay here?<div>The trip to Ha Long bay started with a 4 hour bus ride. Then we boarded a ship to the bay. Got served touristy food, which our companions remarked as "fantastic vietnamese food" while me and Jamlasica were like "this was the worst crap we've had ever since we landed". After lunch sightseeing the bay started.</div><div><br></div><div>Well.... I was quite disappointed. I did not see James Bond gettitng out of the water. Actually I did not see anything, as the fog was so thick, we barely could see the closest islands.</div><div><br></div><div>After the cruise we did some cayaking. My impression - trash.</div><div><br></div><div>Then we got transported to an island for the overnight stay. The accomodation was awesome, food was ok too. Thing is, I already had fever and was looking forward to the night of my life :D</div><div><br></div>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-89348934597792852812014-03-21T03:24:00.001+01:002014-03-21T03:24:14.388+01:00The mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh<div>The mausoleum is open between 8 and 11 with the last visitors entering at 10:15. I didn't even get run over by the motorbikes. Seeing Jamlasica was awesome. Really excited to go out now! Our hotel room has a bed the size of 2,5 normal beds and that's about it when it comes to room furniture. On the other hand - the bed is what I was dreaming all 24 hours about.</div><div><br></div>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-84044683600170329662014-03-21T03:16:00.001+01:002014-03-21T03:16:58.212+01:00Hanoi at last!<div>Arriving in Hanoi is quite easy if you take a taxi. What if you don't want to take a taxi? Well things get a liiiiittle more complicated. </div><div><br></div><div>Step 1. Figure out if there is another way to get to the city. Of course there are no bus stop signs in English. Why would those tourists take a bus anyways :D</div><div><br></div><div>Step 2. Find the bus stop. A bus stop is where busses stop, not where the sign is. So just go for the place that has the most busses in the area</div><div><br></div><div>Step 3. Find da bus. A bit tricky but research prior to arrival definitely helps.</div><div><br></div><div>Step 4. Get on and go.</div><div><br></div><div>The ticket master is the person wearing a golden chain, a jump suit with some bus company name and holding a pile of cash in one hand and definitely looking like a baws.</div><div><br></div><div>The ride was long, but hey, I paid 0,3 USD instead of 18!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-63805857320241634582014-03-21T03:05:00.001+01:002014-03-21T03:05:02.778+01:00Meeting in Hanoi<div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I think we have made the ultra spoilt kid thing, when we decided to meet up in Hanoi for a chat about life. </span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-18031203490489555542014-03-21T03:03:00.001+01:002014-03-21T03:03:22.686+01:00Day Zero<div>Omg finally here. On a plane to somewhere weird and uncivilized. I gotta admitt the last few weeks were indeed a horrible time with shines of light in between when I had a chance to take my mind off work. </div><div><br></div><div>I finally realized that I am going somewhere yesterday when I was hanging out in town getting the last minute shopping done. Go new camera! And... go McDonalds! I guess the Paleo dinosaurs are rolling their eyeballs now but hey - it was really yummy!</div><div><br></div><div>Now today - another dreadful morning under the theme "ugh I cant". But hey! I could!</div><div><br></div><div>I made myself an "all you have in the fridge" breakfast which included: steak, salad, goat cheese, natural orange juice. +1 for team Paleo. I'm putting the plan into work once after the class is finished - can't risk getting lost in all the things I should do. It seems I'm more frustrated than I can handle, therefore it's time to make some substantial changes.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/R5bzc5T_YgI/AAAAAAAABYo/vP7T27nIP8I/s1600-h/Plan+ogarniecia+sie+na+przyszlosc.gif"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/R5bzc5T_YgI/AAAAAAAABYo/vP7T27nIP8I/s400/Plan+ogarniecia+sie+na+przyszlosc.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158578100946035202" /></a>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-77972409161732933062008-01-22T07:34:00.000+01:002008-12-10T08:13:39.506+01:00Foreigners<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/R5WQ7UbUTsI/AAAAAAAABYY/O_956IWMwgM/s1600-h/IMG_0673.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/R5WQ7UbUTsI/AAAAAAAABYY/O_956IWMwgM/s200/IMG_0673.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158188296992739010" /></a>Ahhh another class another post. I am totally lost with school and right now I feel I am losing grip of what's happening here. My time management skills (or their absence for that matter) are put to a huge test. I had big plans - friends, snowboarding, school, fun. So far I was not able to do anything adn still fighting to survive at school. School 7 hours per day, homeworks every day, all day. Argh. Need to make a plan and find a way to solve the problem of my lack of time management...<br /><br />At least my Taiwanese, cheap and fake version of Doraemon is helping me out in getting up in the mornings.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-82225403688152542532008-01-13T01:41:00.000+01:002008-01-13T01:47:11.602+01:00Arrival ICNI've arrived. It's incredible - it really felt like going back, not traveling. Fiyori picked me up and we were set to go. On the way decided to pick up my second suitcase which was flying by Lufthansa cargo. It took us 7 hours and a lot of frustrating running from one place to the other, BUT we got it. We were at KAIST at around 8:45 PM. Change of clothes, and off we go shopping for bedsheets and stuff. <br /><br />My ING Visa card didn't work agian. ING is one of the least reliable services I've ever experienced to use... I've got no idea why it's not working like that.<br /><br />Went out to eat some meat, have a bamboo soju and time for bed. I got up at 6 am to incur a crash course adjustment, but I'm not really sure it's working, cause it's 9:45 am right now and I'm barely awake. We'll see how things go from now on. <br /><br />It's -5 in Seoul, sunny as always, there have been major snow storms in the mountains - NEXT WEEK I'M THERE for sure!MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-14187599896957182362008-01-13T01:38:00.000+01:002008-01-13T01:40:07.269+01:00SiberiaWe’re flying over Siberia right now. The sunrise is magnificent – as magnificent as it can be if you’re on a 10 hour flight and all you can see is part of the wing, 2 plane engines and a lot of nothing on the ground. Too bad I can’t take pictures. I’m worried that there is not much snow. Maybe it’s not Siberia after all. How am I supposed to know, haven’t been there YET </span><br /><br />CORRECTION: I just looked at the monitor and we're flying over Mongolia. I’m really happy that you are people, because people are the most important! Meetings, drinks, dinners. Had so much fun. I met up with as many people as I could. I’m sorry I missed some meetings and was late – I think this part of trip preparations is the one that needs certain adjustments and optimization.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-64327578189226131332008-01-13T01:33:00.001+01:002008-01-13T01:33:46.475+01:00ExamsRemember, I said I was playing it ambitiously. Well yes. By the time I found out I had to go – I still had 8 exams left and 6 business days to pass them. I’m really grateful that the professors in Poland were so helpful and even though I must have caused them extra work, they were willing to help me out on that issue. Everybody needs such professors! And everybody needs their mother shouting when you don’t study :P.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-82394769091830780632008-01-13T01:32:00.001+01:002008-01-13T01:32:43.384+01:0027th December 16:50I wouldn’t forget this day ever - I have it on my phone. The moment DHL called they have a package for me. I got in the car and drove to the meeting spot, picked up an envelope and came back home. “Cyk, cyk, cyk” and the secret was revealed – I’m going to Korea. I am supposed to be there within 2 weeks. No idea where to start, what to do, how to organize. That’s one point I really don’t like about this school – it feels as if they think that going to Seoul for a year of studies is as much effort as getting on a 2 hour train ride. Well it seems <span style="font-weight:bold;">it is</span>. It only costs the involvement of 2 people, barely any substantial amount of sleep, skipped New Year’s party, total weight loss of 3 kilograms in that period, liters of coffees, angry friends and … that’s about it. No big deal.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-47509096034873980622008-01-13T01:31:00.001+01:002008-01-13T01:31:46.138+01:00ChristmasAhhh it felt so good to spend the holidays in Poland with family. Dad and I got ourselves presents – 46 widescreen flat LCD TV and a limited edition PS3 to go with it. Aahhhh. Foood. Lots of it. My mom is the best cook ever! Everyone else came over. It was fun. I realized I really missed it not being like that last year.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-5753207200245853472008-01-13T01:30:00.000+01:002008-01-13T01:31:10.615+01:00It's over! The plane had once again taken off – my new adventure is starting. Today, as I sat down with my mom at the airport I could not believe how far we’ve gone these past 2 weeks. Joy, excitement, panic, daily plans, exhaustion and finally satisfaction. 2 hours later I was already sitting at Fraport in Germany trying to summarize what had actually happened. With tears in my eyes, I realized – I’m coming back to Korea and I’m actually waiting for my plane right now…<br /><br />Ok rewind. So what had actually happened? I used to be an exchange student, I came back and things started happening. Back home, under strong influence, I decided to submit my papers for an MBA scholarship in Korea. “What the heck, might as well give it a shot” – I thought. In the mean time I decided to do something about my studies in Poland AND FINISH THEM. I took those 11 wonderful courses and with happiness about my ambition, I was eagerly awaiting any information regarding the scholarship. After 2 months of trying to get the paperwork they accepted me, but refused to say whether I would be exempted from paying (note – otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford it). I’m really thankful to all the people who have supported me at that time – it’s been one of the stranger times in my life – one day “yay I got another paper I needed to get”, another day “damn, the stupid paper had just been rejected, need a new one”.<br /><br />In the mean time my best friend had been in the midst of trying to pass her economics exam – haha that was fun. I still have the “Mam pomysl ” paper which lead to the washing machine to “konkret sie spuscic wielka piana na polowe lazienki”. And the plan which was supposed to help us get more organized, but due to our disorganization, we never managed to actually start it. Ahhhh. Those were the days. Christmas was starting. No word from KAIST at all.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-9234572054807010312007-10-23T00:10:00.000+02:002008-12-10T08:13:40.395+01:00Off to HKSurfing was cool. My back, legs, arms and face weren’t. They were freaking hot, burning. I got such a huge sunburn that I was not able to put on my backpack for the trip to HK which was to proceed on the following day. Actually not only was I sunburnt, I was also quite poor, because the night before Charlotte, Andy and I went out in the evening and played Go-Stop until something like 2 am where I lost all of my money I had saved for the bus and MRT to go to the airport. But the gambling thrill was well worth it.<br /><br />My biggest worry was passing the entrance gates to HK – actually the quarantine section. I was emitting so much heat because of the sunburn, I was worried I would get stopped at the border with suspected fever :P But as you can guess I survived. Hmmm I still wonder how those thermal cameras work.<br /><br />The views from the plane were just an appetizer – Hong Kong proved to be a miraculous city.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/Rx0gkWMdT0I/AAAAAAAABKw/UpbsoT94Vsk/s1600-h/hong+kong-1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/Rx0gkWMdT0I/AAAAAAAABKw/UpbsoT94Vsk/s400/hong+kong-1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124287759822704450" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8CLviRbdoO1OEOaKtb5FFiL5sW4pcjU2FCMOv8_-2Cs2UTUUelxwXT-kcyvYO0Vqo1R7C9EfnZ_TuT_GiVdiUd0YId9j3jhX2jkIgtdMwxrIycJACiLdhgaLSB6nyqYv_SASAkg/s1600-h/hong+kong-3.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8CLviRbdoO1OEOaKtb5FFiL5sW4pcjU2FCMOv8_-2Cs2UTUUelxwXT-kcyvYO0Vqo1R7C9EfnZ_TuT_GiVdiUd0YId9j3jhX2jkIgtdMwxrIycJACiLdhgaLSB6nyqYv_SASAkg/s400/hong+kong-3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124287880081788754" /></a>MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-61869850217790188992007-10-23T00:08:00.000+02:002008-12-10T08:13:40.517+01:00Medusas!!!!Shiiii I hate medusas. We bought suncream, got the tickets, helped a lost young girl which train she should take, got on the same train as she did … and found out that it was the wrong train.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/Rx0fDWMdTxI/AAAAAAAABKY/A23_TzBYBhw/s1600-h/taipei-102.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mxrJBbkl5-Q/Rx0fDWMdTxI/AAAAAAAABKY/A23_TzBYBhw/s400/taipei-102.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124286093375393554" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK60Xe4m5w18xgJM-0CfR7EtAttZxSlwyCPNYWFN8I9XHbdXjGimXEvfywRdncp42vIv37jJEr-GIOT9vsBN7R6hkBCcd9izBNmnPrHI41Ozr0yQYlXz5_n8hGCQk3FVDWHRzTrw/s1600-h/taipei-114.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK60Xe4m5w18xgJM-0CfR7EtAttZxSlwyCPNYWFN8I9XHbdXjGimXEvfywRdncp42vIv37jJEr-GIOT9vsBN7R6hkBCcd9izBNmnPrHI41Ozr0yQYlXz5_n8hGCQk3FVDWHRzTrw/s200/taipei-114.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124286389728136994" /></a>Fortunately we weren’t that far from our destination, so just a change of trains and we were there. The weather was incredible – warm, a bit windy – perfect Unfortunately the waves didn’t care about the fact that a lot of surfers came and they just didn’t appear. So we had to amuse ourselves in other ways such as the regular “do on the beach” things.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30209600.post-17778357415936376122007-10-23T00:04:00.001+02:002007-10-23T00:04:39.950+02:00AAAAAASNAAAKEI ate a snaaaake in a soup Actually it was WE who were supposed to eat AAAASNAAAAAKE but Andy chickened out. I must admit, it really does taste like chicken, but the meat is a bit “fishlike”. AND IT HAS BONES!!! Have you ever thought of this – AAAAASNAAAAKE has very tough bones.MAcushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08484935912529137819noreply@blogger.com
